Personal Trainer

With over 21 years of experience working in the fitness industry, I bring my passion for helping others, my scientific knowledge, and my expansive creativity to my clients’ individual fitness and health goals.

I have worked with clients ranging in age from 13 to 89 years young; all of whom have presented varied objectives and capacities including functional strength and mobility, heart health, joint health, and pain management to mitigate injury, disease, repetitive strain, or aging.

Through experience and continuing education, I have honed my skills in the areas of body & movement awareness, corrective biomechanics for good posture, injury prevention & rehabilitation, and functional strength & flexibility training for energy & vitality.

I take a unique approach in communicating with the body; encouraging my client to befriend their body and learn its natural intelligence and intuition. Once this personal understanding is achieved, then clients can truly find appreciation and enjoyment in movement and exercise.

I use a collaborative approach with my clients; meeting them where they are at to support their curiosity, desired objectives, and physical & motivational capacities or challenges.

I am a guide of optimal form & function and a motivator of holistic living, ultimately, to help my clients achieve mastery in their bodies, enthusiasm for their health discipline, and the decision for a sensible quality of life.

Training Philosophy:

Every body is as unique as every individual. There are very few universal solutions to training. Scientific training protocols are ours to be explored and adapted to each person’s goals, pace and level of commitment.

Training the body by varied disciplines (strength, flexibility, agility, cardio, corrective biomechanics ++) is essential for good living now and for energetic independence as we age.

It is our choice and a gift to influence how we age.

Training myself consists of continual attention to strength, joint mobility, symmetry, ease of movement, flexibility, weight management and a steady discipline of cardio. I train my body and mind for healthy living, vitality, capacity for life’s challenges, for the unforeseen and for life long independence.

My most proud training or athletic accomplishment is...

Motivating my clients to stay focused and disciplined on their fitness and encouraging them to remain forever curious of the many ways healthy living and healthy aging can be theirs.

Inspiring my parents to adopt fitness and self-care in their early 60s is one of my very proud accomplishments.
