Marvin Vergara

Pilates Instructor

I have been teaching since 2008, working with high performing athletes, office people, the elderly, dancers, and those rehabbing injuries and/or post-surgery.

I have helped my clients achieve their health and fitness goals, relieve tightness and muscle pain, build strength and improve stamina and sexual health, recover from injuries, improve range of motion, get them out of depression, build their confidence and improve self esteem, ground and balance their stressful lives, humble themselves, and not take their health for granted.

I turned to Pilates because it is the foundation for everything, so that you are well supported with a strong core (the powerhouse for strength and recovery and injury prevention).

Training Philosophy:

Training philosophy is to be focused, work hard and intelligently, be open minded and diversify your training, be humble and start each workout with a couple of things you want to focus and improve on, commit to your workouts and place as much value to them as a necessary thing that you must do at least a couple of times per week.

From the very first session, it was clear that Marvin is both knowledgeable and passionate about fitness. His personalized approach and attention to detail have truly set him apart from people I have worked with in the past. What impressed me the most was his ability to tailor workouts specifically to my goals and fitness level. He took the time to understand my strengths and areas for improvement, creating a plan that was both challenging and achievable. His constant encouragement and motivation made each session enjoyable and productive. Marvin also emphasized the importance of proper form and technique, ensuring that I performed each exercise correctly to maximize results and prevent injuries. His expertise and clear instructions helped me feel confident and informed throughout my journey back to fitness. Moreover, Marvin has a fantastic attitude and energy that makes working out something to look forward to every week. His positive demeanor and genuine enthusiasm for my progress have kept me motivated and engaged over the last few years. Thanks to Marvin, I've seen significant improvements in my strength, endurance, and overall fitness. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dedicated and skilled personal trainer." - Andrew Troy (Soccer Player and Head of Wealth Management for RBC)

"I first started to do pilates with Marvin to rehab an achilles tendon injury and improve my posture. The injury is gone and my posture is better but I continue to do pilates to gain strength, prevent injuries and improve flexibility. Marvin always makes the sessions fun and challenging!" - Rob Brown (Tri Athlete and Co-Head Canadian Debt and Capital Markets RBC)
